| African Pride Expands its Horizons in Kwazulu-Natal |
|
The African Pride collection of superior deluxe 5-star hotels, safari lodges and country houses has increased its presence in KwaZulu-Natal by adding the boutique hotel, Endless Horizons, to its exclusive portfolio. Danny Bryer, Group Sales and Marketing Director for Protea Hotels, said that the boutique hotel - located along the picturesque Umhlanga Rocks Drive in Durban North - is the ideal property to strengthen South Africa's largest luxury hotel brand in the growing KwaZulu-Natal tourism market. "Endless Horizons' opulent accommodation and superior facilities is in line with our strategic vision of acquiring exclusive 5-star properties which embody the proud spirit of Africa. The increased demand for luxury product in strategic locations has meant a rapid growth for our 5-star luxury brand, with the African Pride range having grown from two to 18 properties over the last 16 months." Accommodation at Endless Horizons comprises ten luxury rooms, each tastefully decorated in a unique contemporary Zen style and featuring spectacular sea views. Visitors can also savour the sundowner atmosphere from the vantage point of a secluded deck with full bar facilities. The hotel's fusionary kitchen, from which its highly qualified chefs operate, offers a diverse menu that combines wholesome dishes with more indulgent culinary fare. The boutique hotel also caters for conferences, weddings and special occasions with a glass-expansive venue designed to take advantage of the magnificent surrounds for up to 80 people. The venue also features high-tech audio-visual systems, ideal for medium-sized corporate conferences, strategic planning and team-building activities. "While operating under the African Pride banner, the hotel will still retain its individuality and current management, but will now enjoy the benefits of our group's national footprint and international standards of service," says Bryer. 15 January 2008 |
