After the success of the inaugural Arabella Challenge in April 2013, Arabella Hotel & Spa is excited to host the 2nd Arabella Challenge in September.
The event will take place on the 21st and 22nd September 2013. The event will start and finish at the Arabella Country Estate (Phase 2 site), situated on the foot of the Palmiet Mountain range. Your race will take you through breathtaking scenery including the Kogelberg Biosphere which will leave you in awe of its unspoilt beauty.

The name says it all – the Arabella Challenge promises to be a daring yet rewarding adventure.

Start Time: For both the Mountain Bike and Trail Run events - 08h00
Finish Venue : Arabella Hotel and Spa (Phase 2), Western Cape, South Africa
Entries Open : 16 January 2013 - Wednesday
Entries Close : 23 August 2013 - Friday
Entry Fees : Trail Run R200 per entry | 2 day stage Mountain Bike Race R950 per entry. 
R10 of every entry received for the Arabella Challenge will be donated to the Arabella Community Trust. 
Format :
• Mountain Bike Event - 2 day stage event: 40km on day 1 & 41km on day 2
• Trail Run Event - Novice Run of approximately 11 km | Advanced Run of approximately 17 km
• Duathlon Event - Mountain Bike Race 40km | Advanced Run of approximately 17 km

We will be hosting a maximum of 500 cyclists, 100 novice runners and 100 advanced runners in 2013.
 

To enhance the experience of the race, participants can benefit from the following at the start/finish:

• Bike wash facilities
• Hot showers (be sure to bring a towel to the event) 
• Food and beverages
• Technical support
