Burning Shore Joins African Pride Portfolio

The luxury African Pride superior deluxe hotels, lodges and country houses' portfolio has extended its reach into Namibia with the addition of the renowned Burning Shore luxury hotel. The hotel recently achieved fame by one of the world's most famous Hollywood couples, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who where GUESTS of the hotel whilst on their visit to Namibia. "We are thrilled to have a five-star luxury product in Namibia. The expansion has enabled us to cross borders with our superior deluxe brand for the first time," explained Danny Bryer, Group Sales and Marketing Director for Protea Hotels.

Nestled on the edge of the largest sand dunes in the world, the hotel overlooks the mighty expanse of the Atlantic Ocean, between Swakopmund and Walvis Airport. A modern, luxurious establishment, this ocean-side property is located on Long Beach, just south of the unique, quaint town of Swakopmund. It offers seven Luxury Rooms and five Luxury Suites, all enjoying private bathroom facilities.

The Burning Shore has a sixty-seater restaurant, which serves exquisite cuisine. GUESTS can also enjoy the view from the Pleasure Flights Cocktail Bar, or head to the deck for alfresco dining, with direct access to the beach.

The hotel offers a host of activities ranging from Quad Biking, Fishing, Ecotours Dolphin Cruises, Seal Colony Visits, Sky Diving, Dune Surfing, and Camel rides. Day excursions into the magnificent Thirstland include visits to Sandwich Harbour, Bird Island, Walvis Bay Lagoon, the Moon landscape, Dune seven, Marine safaris to Pelican Point Seal Colony and dolphin spotting. In addition, horse trails, dune quad biking, fishing and scenic flights via the Skeleton Coast can also be arranged.
