Fordoun Spa, Hotel and Restaurant, located in the picturesque KwaZulu-Natal area, has announced their plans to increasing their capacity by 25%. Part of the African Superior Deluxe Hotels, Lodges and Country Houses, this boutique hotel is adding on five luxury bedroom suites as well as two spa treatment rooms. “Our confidence in both our own brand and the African Pride brand, is sound enough that we are in the process of finalizing the design and construction of an additional five bedroom suites plus another two spa treatment rooms, which in essence will increase our capacity by twenty-five percent, a significant growth for a property our size,” said Jon Bates, Owner of Fordoun Spa, Hotel and Restaurant. Fordoun outlines that they have benefited directly from African Pride’s centralized structures, as well as the brands’ representation in both South African and internationally . “We feel that the individuality of the Fordoun brand has been maintained whilst at the same time we are part of the African Pride brand,” explained Bates. In addition to a general increase in occupancy levels, the hotel has benefited directly from the International FIT, Group & Conference, Corporate and Government market which are acquired and maintained through the African Pride sales structure and the very powerful Prokard loyalty programme, which has a membership base in excess of 120 000. Bates adds, “Both corporate business and Prokard members have contributed directly to our mid week trade”. The additional two luxury spa treatments rooms are expected to be completed next months, whilst dates of the additional five luxury bedroom suites are yet to be confirmed. |
