Overall impression
How was it judged? (by industry professionals, customer votes or both?) A panel of 5 judges for 1st stage judging and 2 visiting judges for 2nd phase, has been selected by Les Nouvelles Esthétiques to evaluate all entries. Judges have been selected on the basis of independence of any spa or cosmetic / spa brand, but industry knowledge is essential. Judges will not evaluate entries from spas in which they may have a personal or business relationship. Although all efforts to ensure the judges in stage 1 and 2 are different, it may be required for logistical reasons for a judge to participate in both stage 1 and 2 of the judging process.
The first phase of the evaluation process is a ‘portfolio judging’ process. Judges will examine each individual spa’s portfolio. A list of 4 finalists per category will be determined at the completion of the 1st stage of judging.
The second phase of the evaluation procedure involves the respective judges visiting each of the finalist spas per category.
