| Pumba Game Reserve Launches Pumba Msenge Lodge |
|
24 January 2007 Pumba Private Game Reserve, part of the superior deluxe African Pride Hotels, Lodges and Country Houses portfolio, has launched africanpridehotels.com - Pumba Msenge, a contemporary lodge incorporating seven newly built luxury chalets. This modern designed lodge, which will increase its offering to eleven chalets by March this year, is situated on 6 000 hectares of privately-owned property in the Eastern Cape together with Pumba Lodge. "Increased demand for luxury game travel in the malaria-free Eastern Cape, coupled with the growing interest in our unique offer of free-roaming white lion on the reserve, created impetus to increase our accommodation capacity," said Danny Bryer, Group Sales and Marketing Director for Protea Hotels. The new lodge has been designed by the same team that originally created Pumba, so whilst the atmosphere of the two lodges are very similar, Pumba Msenge Lodge is more contemporary, with clean, clear lines created by the angular glass surrounds and bold timber lines. Each chalet opens onto a private game viewing deck, offering an outdoor shower and plunge pool as well as air-conditioning, free-standing bathtubs, separate showers and a range of luxury amenities promising to cater for every indulgence. Pumba Msenge Lodge also boasts a luxury wellness centre and mini-gym, offering GUESTS complete relaxation whilst visiting the bush. Dining options include a choice of fine dining as well as an authentic African Boma experience, always a crowd pleaser. Situated on a flood plain, GUESTS are spoilt by breathtaking views and ensured of five-star treatment. The lodge also has a GUEST lounge and a cocktail bar, all with fireplaces for cozy appeal. Keeping with the times, GUESTS are guaranteed up-to-date technology with a reading room that includes satellite television, an internet office and wireless internet connectivity. For business meetings, incentive groups or functions, there is a function room that seats up to sixty delegates. Only 105km from Port Elizabeth, Pumba is in the heart of the Eastern Cape's malaria-free game viewing region. With its 5-star Game Lodge luxury, visitors have every opportunity to enjoy the ultimate essence of Africa's luxury and style all year round. In addition to the big five, the reserve is home to twenty two other species of game including wild dogs, cheetah and spotted hyena, almost 300 bird species and four natural biomes. |
